→ About Me
In 22 years, I’ve photographed, written, researched, and reimagined cultural systems of expression. I’m offering this blogjournalpressreleasemyspaceportfolio as a compilation of my ideas in development, through active participation, and storytelling these experiences in the context of current culture. I’m in love with the multiplicity of the world and the way I’m growing to understand it.
Artist Bio
Francis has experimented with countless modes of creativity in words, music, fashion, digital art, and social initiatives. He finds joy in investigating aesthetics and the power it releases to a subject. Francis covered a “Good Genes” , a denim party powered by Levi’s at the Ace Hotel in Toronto. Since then, he has worked in Europe investigating aesthetics and culture as a freelance journalist.
As he matures as an artist, he stresses the importance of absorbing the ‘journey more than the destination’; this idea motivates him to seek more from what is tangible and digital. Francis Okezie wants to be able to reconstruct the ways we treat mundane parts of life: waking up in the morning, shopping at the grocery store, listening to music—interacting with people and media unanimously—going to concerts, speaking to strangers, and, conclusively—experiencing. He is inspired by his Nigerian origin and travelling to reflexively create new exchanges, exploring semiotics, relational aesthethics, persuasive language, & critcal dialogue through experiential maketing, public relations and event production.
